Erika and I have been doing lots of secret, high-profile wedding planner activities… Not really but doesn’t that sound fun?! But we have been doing some behind the scenes activities over here!
Of course planning a wedding takes creativity, organization, and great communication with the bride and groom and their families, but it also takes knowing ALL the right people! That’s why every week we have been getting out on the town all over northeast Ohio to meet some of the greatest wedding vendors, scope out the venue hot spots, and corral all of our gathered information to bring it back to you, the bride!
This week we hit the Akron/ Canton area to catch up with some old friends and also stop by at some places we may have heard about but haven’t seen their place of business! We had a chance to stop at The Tangier, West Side Bakery, Reeves Cake Shop, Savoir-Faire Event Planning and Floral, Conrad Botzum Farmstead, and Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens.
Here are just a few of the highlights from the places we stopped:
The Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens mansion! A fabulous venue for weddings and receptions both indoor or out. Our tour guide, John, (LOVED him) showed us all the potential wedding spots and gave us lots of history on the venue.
All in all, it was a great, informative, FUN day out! Watch for next week as we continue our Akron/Canton area ventures… (Too many to hit in just one day!)
What are your favorite vendors in the area? Who are you using for your wedding? We’d love to know!
